Why aren't we all like that wise old bird?
One of my resolutions this year is summed up quite perfectly by the wise old owls actions above. It is to simply listen MORE. Especially to the ones I love the most. In the swirl of life (and the noisiness of my girls), I usually still manage to hear what's going on around me, but hearing and listening are really two different things.
I hope that as I endeavor to speak less and listen more, I will see and know the ways in which I can really help these little seeds of mine grow!

Hmm. This resolution wasn't inspired by your Aston Hubby was it? Sounds like Varian's ideal - to speak less - I'm sure he wishes I'd adopt it, and those brothers can be very much alike. :)
