10.

In a few months, the boy that made me a mother is turning "double digits".

I think I might have to start referring to him as the man-child on this blog. I mean look at him. He's practically an adult :)

He has a good soul this one. You can see it if you look closely.

He started reading Harry Potter yesterday. He's almost half way through and has set a goal to finish it by Monday. I have no doubt that he will achieve it!

(as a side note......I wish I could set a goal to read a book by monday - maybe then I'd actually finish my book club book for this month ;)

Oh how I can't wait to pack my 'puffer' jacket away and break out the t-shirts!!

10 days to go and counting until my favourite season is here.

Little lady

I've started calling her 'little lady' because clearly, that's what she is :)

 

Some of the 'stats' at 12 months.........


You have FINALLY cut 2 teeth
You are still a champion sleeper and usually sleep for 12 hours at night
After a year of co-habitating in our room, you now share with Jazzy (I miss seeing you next to me :) 
You are my only baby that is a 'mumma's girl'. I love it. most the time ;)
You only say mumma, dadda, Ry (sometimes) and 'uh-oh'  - the uh-oh is ridiculously cute!!
You eat SO.much.food I can't believe it
You are effectionately known as the 'chubba-bubba' or budah baby :)
Unlike the first 9 months of your life, you now cry sometimes

You are my only baby to have a dummy - it kind of drives me nuts when it gets lost and I have to crawl around under your cot looking for it :)
You make us laugh everyday. You laugh easily and do the BEST fake laughs.ever.
If someone near you laughs - you join in. It makes me smile everytime!
You are like your sister and your mother and you 'talk' all the time
You have started having tantrums. The big kind, where you throw your body around. oh dear :)
You are LOUD! oh so loud

 
You are a bit reserved around new people
You cuddle like a koala bear - I LOVE it!!
When I try and put you down you cling to me unbelievably tightly!
You are strong! You can hold yourself up on the chin up bar for a few seconds (done with your brothers and dad and not with me :)

You somehow have a stash of marbles somewhere and I often find them in your mouth.....eeeeekkkkk!
You are already obsessed with lego and if you even hear your brothers door open you move as fast as you can to get into their room and destroy their creations. poor boys :)
You love being outside
You LOVE the park
I call you 'swiper' because you swipe EVERYTHING you walk past
In the last week you have started walking. Oh how we love it and have the biggest party everytime you do it.....

After 12 months, I am still your favourite :)
You love being 'celebrated' and love it when everyone claps for you and cheers you on!!
You bring happiness to our family. everyday.
You are loved and adored. Exactly as you should be!

I think it's accurate to say that this girl is at her happiest when she's with her dad. He calms her with his kind words and shows her what it's like to be loved. Really loved.

I couldn't have asked for a better father to help me raise little girls {and boys}.
