thoughtfulness.....

It is completely amazing to me that this little boy (OK - i think we've established that he's not really a little boy anymore....but he still is to me) could be as thoughtful and considerate as he is. I'm not sure if it's a learned quality he has, or if it's just naturally who he is - but Rylan is just so thoughtful! Truth be told this thoughtfulness hasn't always extended past me, but as he's growing he is definitely becoming more aware and thoughtful of others too. (especially Zahn......if there's a fight of some sort it is usually Rylan that gives in to that 'firey' little Zahn to make peace, or if he's upset Rylan will do funny things to distract him and cheer him up!

One of the things I love the most, is that Rylan is so willing to sacrifice things he loves for me. Often when he has some kind of treat he'll offer at LEAST half of it to me and sometimes he'll even offer the whole thing to me.......that's a serious sacrifice for a kid don't you think???

I love it when Rylan makes Chad and I things (which is often) and I love the look of accomplishment and excitement on his face when he proudly holds up his work and states "this is for you".....
