Slumber Parties and Sushi....

You know how sometimes you envision something in your mind and "it" looks amazing. Well the following activity (at our recent BFF sleepover with the DeGaris's) was one of those moments.

Thoughts of beautifully hand painted eggs decorating our house for Easter filled my mind. only to end up with......well....not quite what I had imagined. needless to say we didn't display the eggs as decorations but we DID have lots of fun painting. drawing. and eventually cracking most of them open and eating them up.

we.tried using textas because the water based paint I had just wern't working for us......(and i totally forgot about Chad's stash of acrylic paints)

So.after our futile attempts at egg painting, trampoline jumping and toy playing, we made sushi for dinner which the kids loved!

and.it.wouldn't be a 'sleep over party' if we didn't have pancakes for breakfast.......Zahn and Jets faces crack me up in this pic......it just depicts both of their 'excited' little personalities so well......























and.this.is.what happens when i'm suddenly the mother of 6 instead of 3.....while topping everyone up with drinks I noticed Jasmin had dissapered. of course I knew exactly where she'd be.......
